St Abbs & Eyemouth

Hard Boat Diving, Home Arms, Berwickshire

6th & 7th September 2018

Eyemouth is a town in Berwickshire on the east coast just over the Scottish border — St Abbs is a small fishing village north of Eyemouth. The local coastline is unspoilt with a great wealth of animal, bird and plant life. The beautiful coastline offers miles of walks and local sites of interest including Lindisfarne.

The sea is clear with a rich variety of animals and plants of Arctic and Atlantic origins. The generally good water clarity and spectacular underwater scenery contribute to some of the best diving in Britain and the local in-shore waters have been a voluntary marine reserve since 1984, a benefit to all.

Diving will take place from a hard boat which goes out of Eyemouth, very close to your accommodation, your equipment and cylinders will be transported for you to the boat.  On Thursday you will head to dive sites further afield than usual, weather permitting, for up to 2 dives. On Friday all divers will have the option of completing a further 2 dives.  The area is exposed to bad weather and sometimes the diving has to be cancelled – if we do lose any diving the walks and scenery in the area are fantastic.

You will enjoy 2 days hard boat diving with 2 dives per day.

The package price includes 2 days diving (2 dives per day) and 2 nights accommodation at the Home Arms In Eyemouth on a B&B basis. They offer good en-suite twin or family rooms, convenient for the diving and pubs allowing the group to be together.

The price for this great 2 nights accommodation and 2 days diving trip is just £199

Combine this trip with the weekend Farne Islands trip (8th & 9th September) and SAVE £20, combined 4 days diving and accommodation package for just £379.

This trip and provision of the Trip Leader is organised by New Horizons Dive Society.

You will require 2 cylinders for the trip.

A dive computer, plus SMB and reel are mandatory for each diver. Equipment can be hired from New Horizons.
