It was absolutely fabulous but freezing! Dave and Ollie were brilliant! Dave was so helpful when certain things went wrong especially with Jack. It was great to dive with such lovely people and they were able to answer all the questions I threw at them (which was a lot). All of the instructors we have met have been amazing and couldn’t fault anyone.

Open Water Diver

Hi Clare,

We did it! Eleanor and I enjoyed our open water dives in the Atlantic ocean with Subnauta (Portugal) and we passed with great feedback. Our instructors, Renato and Pedro said that we’d obviously been trained very well because we were able to answer and do whatever they asked of us. We loved our dives, which included a cave dive as well as a wreck dive. We’re thrilled because we passed on the 16th August, which is exactly 2 months before Eleanor’s 11th birthday.

My 8 year old son is learning to dive with NHDC. He is absolutely loving it…so excited every week in anticipation, and comes home full of tales of his experiences. Throughout I have felt entirely confident in the instructors. He is in good safe hands. The instructors are well experienced, encouraging and smiley and above all make it fun.
I cannot describe the deep joy after his first session at seeing his face and his happiness. He has always been a little fish, swimming since he was 3, and having done PADI 1 myself, I am thrilled that he is so enjoying this experience. I cannot thank NHDC enough.

It was a very professional service but it was a lot more than that. It was tailor made for each of us . Helping us with our individual problems. Dave combines a blend of humanity, knowledge and teaching ability and honesty .-no RUBBISH.I liked his attitude.

Colin was very patient with me and very thorough and helped me through my difficulty. Jane is relaxed, exciting and a pleasure to dive with –Love to do it again.

A huge thank you to Rachael at New Horizons for a very enjoyable Simply the Best trip to the Red Sea. Her superb organisation ensured a stress-free experience (I can’t blame her for any currents I may have encountered….). Wonderful food, fantastic service from the crew at all levels and outstanding diving (though nudibranchs were conspicuous by their absence) and sightings (with photographic evidence for you doubters) of Hammerheads, Oceanic White tips and Silky Sharks. Even a large Manta cruising past the boat one evening and an entertaining dolphin display on the very first day. I loved Elke’s three talks on shark identification, behaviour and efforts to protect these endangered animals. Plus, as ever, a reunion of old friends and new.

I would like to thank you all for making my AOW course an experience I shall never forget. The knowledge and confidence which you have instilled in me throughout the course, with your experience, skill, patients and professionalism was made even more enjoyable because all instructions briefings and skills were passed to us in a way that was easy to understand and follow, I personally also felt comfortable in asking any questions no matter how trivial I would recommend New Horizons to anyone wishing to take up diving and or to progress along the path of diving as I will certainly be doing.

Scuba Tune Up

Luke, Ben, Jules and Rachael took me through my open water course. I learnt so much but most importantly had such a good time during the course with the other divers that were also taking part. 

I would 100% recommend to anyone who is interested in doing PADI courses to sign up the New Horizons team the service and knowledge is 5*!

We have just spent a fantastic Sunday evening as a family with a New Horizons Try Diving Experience. Many thanks to Steve, our instructor, who made it great fun for us and our 10 year old, whilst also making us feel at total ease and in very safe hands. The Scuba Tune Up course that I did last Sunday was well organised by John and paced to my understanding and recall of PADI diving requirements. I was a bit nervous to start with having not dived for 4 years. John set me at my ease and enabled me to have an enjoyable session.

What can I say but THANK YOU, THANK YOU!  It was one of the best things I have ever done and you made it a great one!  It was scary at first but Rachael and Tom both made it safe with clear instructions.  The underwater toys took my mind of things and really helped me to relax. Once again I can’t say enough about how great it was.

Trip to St Abbs

What a great course this is. If you want dive and recovery planning, close buddy teamwork (sometimes with two buddy pairs), search technique practice, navigation and fin-kick distance skills, knot knowledge and application, and lifting skills associated with whatever object you recover (and its weight), then this is the course for you. It is also lots of fun. A course not to be missed.

I just want to take the opportunity to thank you and the rest of the New Horizons team for the excellent tuition you provided that has enabled me to pass the PADI open water diver. Jules, Jane, Colin, Dave and Kevin have all been fabulous to me over the last two days and are a credit to both New Horizons and PADI.
