Designed for 8 & 9 year olds, this will be a great experience you’ll never forget and one you’ll want to repeat as soon as possible. Are you ready to try it out?
Our focus is on helping you achieve your ambition – trying Scuba Diving through the PADI Bubblemakers taster session. From your first few minutes in the pool, we will help introduce you to some of the basic skills you’ll use as a fully qualified Scuba Diver.
Following an equipment orientation session with the NHDC team you’ll have chance to ask any questions before getting on with the fun bits!
You will take part in a taster session in a large swimming pool where you’ll get the chance to try some of the basic skills you’ll master as a qualified scuba diver. Class sizes are small and the pace is relaxed with plenty of time for fun!
At the end of the session, you’ll have more chance to ask us questions about what next and how you can continue the adventure.

Knowledge Development
As part of the PADI Bubblemakers session, you’ll complete a short classroom based session where you’ll go through some of the basic safety guidelines and skills you’ll be able to try in the pool.
The theory side is designed to be short and sweet, focusing on the good bits of scuba diving.
Equipment Orientation
Before you leave for the pool, you’ll complete an equipment orientation session with your instructor. You’ll get to see how it all goes together and how it works. You’ll be able to try it for size before we take it all to the pool for you.
The Fun Bit!
This is what you’ve been waiting for! Your chance to try scuba diving. You’ll be helped into your equipment before your instructor helps you take your first, exhilarating breaths underwater. You’ll get comfortable swimming with scuba equipment on in the shallow end, then as your confidence grows, you’ll be able to head into deeper water (maximum 2 metres) to see what scuba diving really feels like.
The emphasis is on fun, so you’ll even get chance to complete a few games while you’re under water too!
We’ll provide everything you need. We pride ourselves on ensuring there are no hidden costs.
You’ll be able to use our Scuba Diving equipment including breathing apparatus (regulators), cylinders, fins, mask, snorkel and wetsuit. If you have your own already there’s no problem using that instead – we want you to be comfortable while you’re with us – but there’s no obligation to have your own equipment while you see if scuba diving will become your new favorite hobby!
We offer PADI Bubblemakers Sessions at least once per month. Each session starts at the NHDC Classroom, where you’ll complete the Equipment Orientation and ‘briefing’ elements. You’ll also have plenty of opportunity to ask all those questions you may have.
Each session lasts up to 4 hours (with up to 1.5 hours ‘in water’) and take place on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, starting at the NHDC classroom before continuing at Macclesfield or Congleton Leisure Centres.
New Horizons aims to be flexible with arranging sessions to suit your schedule so if the scheduled dates are not convenient please give us a call to discuss suitable alternatives.

The PADI Bubblemakers Session
The afternoon starts with an Equipment Orientation session and Briefing at the NHDC Classroom. The emphasis is on fun so there will be plenty of time to ask questions before trying the equipment for size and finding out how it all works.
The NHDC team will pack your equipment and take it to the pool for you, ready for what you’ve been waiting for! You’ll be met at poolside changed and ready to start breathing, swimming and playing under water.
The whole session will last approximately 4 hours, starting at the classroom before completing the pool session at either Macclesfield or Congleton Leisure Centre.
Executive Option
Our standard schedules are designed to offer flexibility, however, if these aren’t convenient, or if you feel you’d benefit from the more personal touch, we can tailor our schedules to a more bespoke timetable.
This executive option allows a 1:1 program, giving you the chance to work with a member of the NHDC team to get a true taste of what scuba diving has to offer you.
Elite Option
If you have access to your own facilities, we can come to you! We will work with you to make a truly tailor-made schedule. Any and all of the elements of the PADI Bubblemakers session can be completed at your preferred location.
Group Bookings
The PADI Bubblemakers session can make the perfect event for groups. Reserve our team for family gatherings, Scout Groups, Schools, birthday parties with a difference or just a group of friends looking for the next adventure. Older children and adults can complete the PADI Discover Scuba Diving session with their younger friends or family members.

Payment Plans
Ideal for larger group bookings, a single £100 deposit will allow us to reserve your materials, course equipment and NHDC PADI pro team.
Further instalment payments can be made with the final balance paid before the PADI Bubblemakers Session starts. Talk to us about instalment payment options.
