If you’re aged 8 years old or over and looking for pool based action-packed fun, then the PADI Seal Team course is the one for you! You’ll learn the basics of scuba diving while having lots of fun; playing underwater games and meeting new friends.
When your child enrolls on the PADI Seal Team course, they will receive a great activity pack so they can start having fun and preparing for their pool sessions straight away.
They will complete a series of ‘Aquamissions’ in a pool with one of our instructors, learning new skills and having lots of underwater fun. Your child will enjoy learning some of the basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless.
The focus is on fun, so they’ll even get to play some underwater games too!
Having completed their Seal Team Aquamissions they will become a PADI Seal Team member which will allow them to complete Speciality Aquamissions and work towards becoming a PADI Master Seal Team member.

Knowledge Development
As part of the PADI Seal Team Course, your child will receive an activity pack full of fun and games so they know what’s coming! This will be reviewed before getting into the water so the instructor can answer any questions before putting the theory into practice in the pool.
The emphasis is on fun with lots of fun puzzles and games to help introduce the skills in a fun way.
Skills Practice
This is what you’ve been waiting for – the pool sessions! Over the course of 4 pool sessions your child will complete the PADI Seal Team ‘Aquamissions’ gradually learning new scuba diving skills while playing and having loads of underwater fun! Each pool session will last approximately 1.5 hours (in water) allowing plenty of time to enjoy themselves in the new underwater world.
We’ll provide everything you need. We pride ourselves on ensuring there are no hidden costs.
Comfort is everything in Scuba Diving, just like in any other sport. For that reason, we recommend you purchase your own mask and snorkel to enhance your comfort from the very beginning of the adventure. These are included on the ‘Standard’ and ‘Deluxe’ course options at over 20% discount!
Masks are designed to fit a range of face shapes – one size does not fit all! For that reason, we do not offer discounts on specific models, rather the whole TUSA mask range available. Some models can even be fitted with prescription lenses, adding to the feeling of confidence and comfort in the underwater world.
We offer a total of 6 hours in the pool, spread over 4 pool sessions. Each pool session lasts up to 3 hours (with up to 1.5 hours ‘in water’) and take place on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Macclesfield or Congleton Leisure Centres.
With one pool session arranged per month, we try not to be too big a burden on your time.
New Horizons aims to be flexible with arranging courses to suit your schedule so if the scheduled dates are not convenient please give us a call to discuss suitable alternatives.

The PADI Seal Team Course
Each afternoon starts with a short briefing poolside. An equipment orientation session will also be held pool-side on the first day to make sure you know how it all goes together. The emphasis is on fun so there will be plenty of time to ask questions before trying the equipment for size and finding out how it all works.
Once complete, you’ll be ready for what you’ve been waiting for! You’ll be helped into your equipment ready to start breathing, swimming and playing under water.
Each session will last approximately 3 hours, with Aquamissions held once a month at either Macclesfield or Congleton Leisure Centre.

Executive Option
Our standard schedules are designed to offer flexibility, however, if these aren’t convenient, or if you feel you’d benefit from the more personal touch, we can tailor our schedules to a more bespoke timetable.
This executive option allows a 1:1 program, giving you the chance to work with a member of the NHDC team to become a master of scuba diving.
Elite Option
If you have access to your own facilities, we can come to you! We will work with you to make a truly tailor-made course schedule. Use the PADI Seal Team activity pack and we’ll complete the Skills Development at your own facilities.

Payment Plans
A single £100 deposit will allow us to issue the relevant course materials.
Further installment payments can be made with the final balance paid before the final pool session. Talk to us about installment payment options.
