Isles of Scilly

Week Trip; 04/08/2018 – 11/08/2018

Destination

The Islands offer beautiful beaches, glorious views, magnificent seascapes and abundant wildlife making it one of the most desirable holiday destinations imaginable. Twenty-eight miles from Land’s End in clear, blue Atlantic water the Scilly Isles offer the perfect diving destination having a remarkable temperate climate allowing for a very exciting mix of flora and fauna. They have become renowned for being the top diving destination in the UK with the perfect blend of wrecks and aquatic life. With the abundance of marine life, spectacular land scenery, visibility of up to 20m and very few other divers in the area this trip is a must for any enthusiastic diver. The various sites offer an excellent mix of diving; from dramatic scenic walls to a good variety of wrecks and a large population of resident seals.

Travel Itinerary

The daily ferry (Scillonian) from Penzance takes about 3 hours to The Scillies and is the recommended route due to weight limits on flights. The group also hires a container on the ferry for dive gear and this costs about £25 per head. You do not need a vehicle on the Islands and they can be left in Penzance for the week.

The ferry departs on the morning of Saturday 4th August from Penzance, so travelling down on the Friday evening and staying in a B&B in Penzance for the Friday night is a good idea. All travel and accommodation arrangements are to be arranged privately, however, New Horizons may be able to assist with recommendations or car shares.
