Join the NHDC team for our last day dive of 2019! Our final chance of the year to dive with all manner of marine life, from little critters to larger mammals, from the spectacular reefs to the amazing wrecks, come and join us in Anglesey for a day of stunning diving off the Welsh coast.

Join NHDC for the last chance in 2019, exploring the fantastic diving opportunities to be had off the Welsh coast. Dive options include scenic dives with stunning marine life as well as great wrecks, friendly seals, and the odd drift dive.

Visibility is expected to be good in the summer months, and with over 200 wrecks teaming with fish and other marine life, along with great scenic dives, this is a top destination.

The Diving

Diving will take place from a comfortable RIB, skippered by one of the most experienced captains in Wales. You’ll head out each morning for 2 dives per day, returning mid-afternoon, giving you chance to explore the sites on land during the afternoon too.

You’ll be able to dive a range of sites, conditions permitting on the day. The abundance of life, from small and interesting to large and curious, is astounding. With a combination of wrecks and reefs available, there is bound to be something for everyone!

Price

Diving: £80

Pre-requisites

Ability: You will need to be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and comfortable using a drysuit. Some UK sea diving experience is advisable (but not essential).

Due to the nature of the diving, you will need a Dive computer and delayed SMB with reel, as well as your usual personal dive equipment.

Water temperatures at this time of year average 13oC, therefore Drysuits and undersuits are essential. Hoods and gloves are also highly recommended.

Wrecks, reefs and a variety of nooks & crannies will be available to explore. To get the most out of these sites, a good torch is recommended.

You will need to take two cylinders and weights with you; these are not available locally.

All required equipment can be rented from NHDC for the week. Some back-up items may be available locally but cannot be guaranteed, therefore it is advisable to take what you’ll need!

The package price for Divers includes:

  • 2 dives per day, from the RIB skippered by a former RNLI lifeboat crew member.
  • Provision of a Trip Leader by New Horizons Dive Centre.

Experience

Due to the nature of the diving and sea temperatures, you must be PADI Open Water Diver (or greater) and be comfortable using a drysuit.
