Our focus is on helping you achieve your ambition – becoming a skilled and confident snorkeller. From your first few minutes in the pool, we will help you get comfortable and build your confidence in exploring the underwater world.
Initially you will be helped to fit and prepare your equipment before practising your skills in shallow water. When you’re ready, you’ll work up to the deep end, practising and playing a few underwater games.
This lesson will be conducted at a pace to suit you, giving you plenty of opportunity to master those snorkelling skills.
This is an excellent session for children, adults and families. It could even make for a fun-filled party.
On completion, a whole new and amazing world awaits!

Skills Practice
This is a fun-filled, practical lesson with no ‘formal’ theory work to be completed. Also known as ‘Confined Water’ sessions, you’ll practice and ultimately master the skills that will allow you to snorkel confidently and safely anywhere in the world.
You’ll meet you Instructor, who will help you select and fit equipment that’s right for you. You’ll get to grips with using it at the shallow end, before working your way to the deep end of the pool as your confidence grows. The pace is relaxed, with a focus in fun, allowing you to practice and ultimately master the snorkelling skills you’re interested in.
You will enjoy a minimum of 90 minutes in the pool, practising a range of skills including clearing a snorkel of water and duck diving to get a closer look at the underwater world. You may even get the chance to play a few games!
Our Skills Practice sessions will take place at local leisure centres on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Lessons are arranged on a personalised basis, giving you greater freedom in when to join us.

Comfort is everything in snorkelling, just like in any other sport. We recommend you purchase your own fins, mask and snorkel to enhance your comfort from the very beginning of the adventure. These are included on the ‘Standard’ and ‘Deluxe’ lesson options at over 20% discount!
Masks are designed to fit a range of face shapes – one size does not fit all! For that reason, we do not offer discounts on specific models, rather the whole TUSA mask range available. Some models can even be fitted with prescription lenses, adding to the feeling of confidence and comfort in the underwater world.
Each pool session lasts up to 2.5 hours (with up to 90 minutes ‘in water’) and take place on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Macclesfield or Congleton Leisure Centres.
New Horizons aims to be flexible with arranging lessons to suit your schedule so thery are arranged on a bespoke scheduling basis. We can arrange a lesson to be conducted anytime we’re in the pool, subject to availability. Currently available dates coincide with our Pleasure Diving Pool Sessions.

Skills Development
Confined Water sessions take place on Saturday or Sunday afternoons at local leisure centres. Lessons are arranged on a bespoke basis. Most lessons can be conducted anytime we’re in the pool, subject to availability. Currently available dates coincide with our Pleasure Diving Pool Sessions.
Pool sessions lasts up to 2.5 hours, with up to 90 minutes ‘in water’ on each. With a maximum depth of 3 metres, you’ll soon be able to experience what snorkelling can truly feel like.

Executive Option
While arranged on a bespoke basis, we often combine small groups to add to the fun and camaraderie. However, if you’re prefer a truly bespoke lesson we can tailor our schedules to suit you.
This executive option allows a 1:1 program, giving you the chance to work with a member of the NHDC team to become a master of snorkelling.
Elite Option
If you have access to your own facilities, we can come to you! We will work with you to make a truly tailor-made lesson schedule. When you’re ready, we’ll complete the Skills Development at your own facilities.
Payment Plans
A single £20 deposit (per person) will allow us to reserve your place in the pool and for us to arrange for an experienced and passionate instructor to be with you.
Further instalment payments can be made with the final balance paid before the pool session starts. Talk to us about instalment payment options.
