This was my first trip with the New Horizons Dive Centre, having completed my Open Water and Advanced Open Water training through the centre and I saw the Red Sea Liveaboard trip as a perfect opportunity to see the underwater world for the first time and that was not the colourful wildlife at Capernwray. I could not speak highly enough of the organisation of the trip with the trip leader Andy knowing the locality well. It helped us find our way around Hurghada, with the diving being beyond compare and I managed to personally complete a handful of specialty courses to allow me to adventure more in my further endeavours.

I will cherish the memories from this trip for a long time, not only was the diving exemplary the mini community on the boat with people with one common interest gelling, made making for an even more memorable experience. From diving wrecks like Ghiannis D, the SS Thistlegorm, the Carnatic and many more, taking in these wrecks in the day time gave a great scope for these giant structures that have run aground, whereas the eerie experience of exploring the outer realms of these wrecks at night was also something to behold and I would highly recommend this to anyone who dares brave the dark.

If that does not take your fancy there are various drift dives around Ras Mohammad to see the various wildlife, dolphins, sea turtles and many more. Some members of the trip (not naming names) did miss a large pod of dolphins travel through the group for which we were more than happy to remind them of this for the remainder of the trip.

I must also mention the boat itself, the Blue Fin boat of the Blue o Two fleet was immaculately kept, the food from such a small kitchen was immaculate with more food than you are capable of eating being served daily. The dive guides who were more than happy to help with any dive site with informative briefings allowing you to make the most out of every dive site.

All I can say is I would highly recommend this trip to anyone; the diving, the company, the leadership of the trip (thanks Andy), the boat, the food (on the boat and in the new marina) with all the laughs had by all. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough to anyone who wants a getaway like no other.

Thanks New Horizons!!
