Dry Dive – Wirral Hyperbaric Chamber – 26/11/2017

New date for your diary! November 26th!

Seeing as it will be getting cold outside and a little dark in the evenings, we’ve got something to help spread some winter cheer – a Dry Dive!

We will heading over to the Hyperbaric Chamber on the Wirral to learn about what they do when they’re not treating divers, as well as how they look after those suffering decompression illness.  We will then have the chance of going on a ‘dry dive’ to 40 metres – bring your log books and dive computers – it will count as a dive! You will also need to bring warm clothing (woolly bears, hats, gloves, etc for reasons that may surprise you (but you’ll only get to find them out once you’re in there!).

NHDC have been before and anyone lucky enough to join the team a few years ago will remember just how much fun it was then.  We thought it was about time we repeated the event!

We will need to confirm numbers with the team at the Hyperbaric chamber soon, so please let us know if you’d like to join us no later than the 25th October.

Costs for the dry dive are £40 per diver, £10 for visitors (visitors will not be able to complete a dry dive). Please pay the appropriate fees on booking with the NHDC team (usual paperowrk applies!)

Now for the Ts & Cs:

  • Minimum age: 16 years
