PADI Coral Reef Conservation Specialty

PADI Coral Reef Conservation Specialty

PADI Coral Reef Conservation Specialty

Everyone likes to scuba dive or snorkel in warm, clear water on a vibrant coral reef, yet many people know little about what they’re seeing or the importance of reef ecosystems. The PADI Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course helps you appreciate the complexity of these habitats and how you can help conserve these vital systems.

During this classroom based course, you will learn a lot more about coral reefs including how they function and the complex nature of life on a reef. Ultimately, you’ll increase your understanding of why coral reefs are so important.

With your PADI Instructor, you’ll discuss why many coral reefs are in serious trouble and what you can do to prevent further decline. You’ll go on to learn how Project AWARE unites divers and water enthusiasts to make a difference.

As this is a classroom based course, non-divers are welcome to join us and gain international recognition for their conservation work.

This course may also count towards the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
