This month we are delighted to be joined by Alison James from Historic England. Here’s a snippet of what she plans to tell us about…

There are currently 53 wreck sites in England with statutory designations under the Protection of Wrecks Act (1973). They are of the highest significance and help to define our nation and tell our story. They range from Bronze-Age cargo scatters through to 20th-century submarines and include a diverse range of site types in between. This talk will examine how Historic England manage the sites and how divers can get involved and visit the sites for themselves.

Along with the latest news from NHDC, and the possibility of Alison bringing Virtual Reality headsets so we can dive from the warmth of the Rugby Club, this promises to be a great night out!

The bar will be open from 19:30 so socialise with your best buddies before being entertained from 20:00.

See you all on Thursday 3rd May at Macclesfield Rugby Club.
