PADI ReActivate

PADI ReActivate

PADI ReActivate

If you’re a certified PADI Diver but haven’t been diving for a while then this programme is for you. Completion of the PADI ReActivate program will be acknowledged in your log book and your certification card will be ‘ReActivated’ enabling you to get on with diving with renewed confidence next time you fancy a dip.

On signing up for the course you will be sent the PADI ReActivate materials to download, enabling you to refresh your diving knowledge. Whether you’re a PADI Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver or Nitrox certified, the materials will be tailored to ReActivate those skills most relevant to you.

You’ll then join the NHDC team to review your theory before getting on with the fun bits!

You will take part in a ‘confined water’ session in a large swimming pool where you will review the skills needed to dive safely and enjoyably. During this session you will have plenty of time to practice your core diving skills and regain your proficiency.

Additional skills can be tailored to suit you, allowing you to brush up on those you want to focus on. Class sizes are small and the pace is relaxed with plenty of time for practice.

At the end of the session you will feel confident, comfortable and ready for your next trip. Your logbook will be verified and your certification ‘ReActivated’.

Knowledge Development

As part of the PADI ReActivate session, you’ll complete some Knowledge Development in your own time using ReActivate eLearning (for tablets or mobile devices) or ReActivate Online (for laptops or desktop computers).

The theory side can be completed at you own pace and can be tailored to your skills and experience level, so you’ll be able to review the skills and knowledge most relevant to you. This will be reviewed with the NHDC team during a classroom session before your pool session.

You’ll immerse yourself in dive scenarios and make decisions that test your understanding of important dive safety concepts, dive planning essentials and problem management. Move through ReActivate at your own pace and delve deeper into topics when you need or want to.

Skills Practice

In the warmth and comfort of a pool your NHDC PADI Professional will help you regain comfort and confidence in scuba diving. You’ll practice a few safety-related skills and then go over anything you specifically want to review.

Once again, the session can be tailored to suit you, giving you the opportunity to really get to grips with refreshing a wide range of skills.

We’ll provide everything you need. We pride ourselves on ensuring there are no hidden costs.

We will provide all the basic, as well as specialised, equipment for refreshing your diving skills. Comfort is everything in scuba diving, therefore if you already have your own equipment, we’d encourage you to bring it along to keep you warm and comfortable while you dive.

Knowledge Development can be completed at your own pace but will be reviewed with the NHDC team before heading of to the pool.

We offer a minimum of 2 hours of ‘Skills Practice’ in a pool refreshing your skills with additional time set aside for refreshing kit preparation, safety checks and equipment maintenance skills.

Each pool session lasts up to 3 hours (with up to 2 hours ‘in water’) and take place on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Macclesfield or Congleton Leisure Centres. You’ll have plenty of time to regain your confidence ready for your next adventure.

New Horizons aims to be flexible with arranging courses to suit your schedule so if the scheduled dates are not convenient please give us a call to discuss suitable alternatives.
