Knowledge & Skills Development

As part of the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you’ll complete some Knowledge Development using the EFR Instructor Manual and a course exam. This will be reviewed during a classroom session before your Skills Development session, putting the theory into practice during a series of scenarios and workshops.

Along with learning how to create a positive learning environment and how to structure & organise EFR courses, you’ll practice:

  • Presenting course content
  • Encouraging self-discovery in students
  • Evaluating student understanding and skill mastery during hands-on skills practice
  • Managing effective scenario-based learning experiences

We’ll provide everything you need. We pride ourselves on ensuring there are no hidden costs.

Our course fees include the Emergency Response Instructor Manual plus a barrier pack and bandage set so you can get going with practising those all important first aid skills.

With so much to complete, the course takes place over two days, usually a weekend at the NHDC Classroom.

The pace is relaxed, allowing you the chance to master EFR skills, ask questions and enjoy a positive learning experience you’ll be the master of providing to your own students.

Courses are arranged on an ad-hoc basis, so we can be flexible in meeting your needs. If you have an interest in becoming an Emergency First Response Instructor, get in touch to arrange a course schedule.
