PADI Search & Recovery
If you fancy doing some treasure hunting then the PADI Search & Recovery specialty is for you! This course will teach you the techniques of locating objects underwater and then bringing them to the surface. During your four open water dives you will improve your navigation skills and search for both large and small objects. Having found them, your job will be to safely bring them to the surface. A fun course and a fantastic way to improve your general diving skills.
This certification will enable you to find and lift lost objects and counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.
After some self study using the PADI Search & Recovery manual you will complete four dives, over a weekend, with your PADI instructor.
You will complete four Open Water dives along with some practice on dry land. During the course you will try various search patterns, tying knots and using lift bags as well as planning effective dives.
